Needed documents to open your account
On the day of your appointment with your future personal Relationship Manager
in the nearest HSBC branch, please make sure youll be bringing the following documents listed below:
• An official and unexpired ID (including your photo and signature)
- National Identity Card
- Passport
- Residence Permit
• A proof of domicile:
- Last notice of assessment, property tax, or tax paid on residence
- A utility invoice from la Compagnie des eaux, EDF or GDF from within the last 3 months
- A land line invoice from within the last 3 months
If you are lodging free-of-charge, the three following documents must be provided:
- Written attestation of lodging, dated and signed by the host
- A copy of the host's proof of identity
- A copy of the host's proof of residence
If you plan to open a joint account, please note you will be asked to provide your personal Relationship Manager with these documents for each co-holder.

HSBC offers a free service that takes care of the moving process for you.
Your future personal Relationship Manager is able to move your banking over to HSBC for you.
For your deposits:

- Your Social Security organisation
- VYour insurance company, etc.
For your direct debits:
- Your tax centre
- Your telephone operator,
- Your insurer,
- Your landlord, etc.
