• The advantages of HSBC Famille Prévoyance
Nothing is more precious to you than your family, and naturally you want to protect them should you die accidentally or become disabled. HSBC Famille Prévoyance pays out a lump sum to help cope with the immediate costs.
In the event of accidental death, your loved ones will have to cope with the immediate costs (funeral expenses, outstanding bills, etc). With HSBC Famille Prévoyance they will receive a lump sum of €11,500 to meet such commitments.
HSBC Famille Prévoyance also takes your personal financial situation into account. In addition to the flat-rate payout, your loved ones will receive a sum(1) equivalent to the credit balance of the current account from which the last premium was paid and from the following savings accounts: Livret de Développement Durable, Compte Epargne Logement, and other savings accounts held with HSBC.
Because total, permanent disability has serious immediate financial consequences, HSBC Famille Prévoyance allows you to access your capital. The money may be used, for example, to adapt your home appropriately, or to pay for a carer.
Regardless of your age(2) when you sign up, or the amount you hold in your savings accounts, your premiums will be the same and will not change. So, for a little over €2 a month (€26/year), you can protect your loved ones and shield them from events that might upset the family budget.
• If there is a remaining balance on your current account at the time of your death, any sums owed to the bank are automatically reimbursed, and the balance will be paid out to your beneficiaries.
• You can sign up without any medical formalities and you are insured as soon as you sign your application form.
• HSBC Famille Prévoyance lets you designate your beneficiaries freely, and any sums paid out will be exempt from inheritance taxes(3).
Money paid out after death is exempt from inheritance taxes; sums received in the event of disability are tax free(3)..
(1) Payment of credit balance on the date of death or of Total and Irreversible Loss of Autonomy, limited to €11,500.
