Music

At HSBC, we believe it is important to support
young talent. This is why HSBC France
sponsors eight young graduates from the
Académie Européenne de Musique.

Through its association with l’Académie Européenne de Musique and the Festival d’Aix-en-Provence, every year HSBC France has supported young artists. Since 2007, HSBC France has also been in partnership with Piano Campus which, through its actions during the Journées Européennes du Piano, promotes the discovery of young pianists by the public.

HSBC Laureates

Motivated by its commitment to fostering young talents, HSBC France has supported the Académie européenne de musique of the Festival d'Aix-en-Provence since 2006.

The Académie Européenne de Musique, founded in 1998, gives young artists the opportunity to study alongside some of the greatest names in music, to practice for concerts and recitals in private classes and master classes, and most importantly, to help prepare the academy’s annual festival. The Academy aids the laureates’ professional integration into the French and International scene, giving them the opportunity to launch their careers.

Out of the 500 artists who have participatedin the Académie since 2006, five groups representing 14 nationalities have been selected by the Festival d'Aix-en-Provence. Each group is composed of nine laureates eight singers and instrumentalists and one pianist and vocal coach. The HSBC France group is committed to supporting and helping the progress of these young artists "HSBC Laureates", chosen from the most talented pupils of the Academy.

The HSBC Laureates of the Académie européenne de musique build on the experience gained over the summer by performing in recitals and concerts. Furthermore the HSBC Laureates have already given 23 performances since 2006 during a special tour all around Europe as well as in China.
The 2010 Laureates will perform in march 2011 at the Opéra Angers - Nantes and at the Théâtre National in Orléans and in July 2011 during the Festival d'Aix en Provence.
