HSBC France has been gradually building a
private photography collection since 1987.
The collection is comprised of original prints of photographs presented in annual reports, special commissions, and works produced by the winning artists selected by the Prix HSBC pour la Photographie.
The collection currently contains 412 photographs by 58 renowned artists.
118 of these were included in various annual reports, 162 were produced by winning artists selected by the Prix HSBC pour la Photographie, and 132 were special commissions (sponsorship of equestrian events, institutional campaigns, advertising campaigns, etc.).
In 2000, HSBC France’s private photography collection was exhibited along with other company collections at the international photography show, Paris Photo.
All of the works in the private collection have been on display in HSBC France’s customer reception areas since 2000. The works are moved to a new location every 18 months.
