Didier Descamps, Head of Global Markets France, is appointed as Co Head of Global Markets, Americas for the HSBC Group. He will be based in New York.

Following this appointment, Xavier Boisseau, Head of Global Markets Sales, France is appointed as Head of Global Markets, France.

Both appointments will take effect from 1 January 2010.

Didier Descamps
Age 48, graduated of the French Business School ESSEC, Didier Descamps joined HSBC France (former CCF) in 1988. In 1992, he was appointed as Deputy Director of the Milan office and, in 1995, Director of Capital Markets in Milan. In 1997, he became Head of Market Risk of HSBC France. In September 2001, he was appointed as Chief Operating Officer, Markets, at HSBC France and in May 2006 as Treasurer and Deputy Head of Global Markets, France.


Xavier Boisseau
Age 46, graduated of Engineering school ECAM and of the French Business School ESSEC, Xavier Boisseau joined HSBC France (former CCF) in 1987 as an Interest Rates Derivatives Trader. He was appointed in 1996 as Head of Interest Rates Derivatives Sales and as Head of Institutional Sales, Capital Markets HSBC France in 1999. He became in 2003 Head of Head of Interest Rates Derivatives Sales, Europe at HSBC London before taking up in 2005 his current role as Head of Global Markets Sales, France et Head of Structured Rates Institutional Sales, Europe.
