HSBC makes it easier for you to move abroad, by opening an account in the country you are moving to from France and delivering your bank cards to you.
To open an account in the country you are moving to(1), before leaving France
and allowing
10 days(2), contact the HSBC France International Banking Centre
on 0 810 815 819(3),
which will handle your request.
Your bank cards and online banking login details will be sent to you within 10 working days(2).
It should be noted that the possibility of opening an account depends on the local constraints
of a regulatory nature. The IBC HSBC France is available to answer your questions.
(1) According to applicable regulations, individuals resident in France for tax purposes are required to declare any accounts opened, used or closed in another country in their tax return. Failure to meet these requirements may result in the payment of a fine and back tax.
(2) 10 working days after your full application is received, subject to acceptance by the HSBC branch concerned and in accordance with applicable local regulations.
(3) From 9.00 a.m. to 6.30 p.m. Monday to Friday and from 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. Saturday.
